Frequently Asked Questions
As a Community Member, can I cook in your kitchen?
To gain access to the kitchen, you are required to join our Commercial Kitchen Membership. Please check the “Commercial Kitchen Membership” page of this website for more details.
I only wish to be a part of the Virtual Community to gain access to education, training, business networking and leads, do I need to join the Commercial Kitchen Membership too?
No. Our members come to Flavors at various stages in their business and not everyone is ready for commercial kitchen licensing. Our Community Members are not required to join the Commercial Kitchen Membership until they are ready (if this becomes a need).
Is the Community Membership only available locally?
No. The Community Membership will host both virtual and in-person events/classes, so you can join from anywhere in the world to network with diverse culinary artisans, business and industry leaders.
Are all classes free within the Community Membership?
There will be both free and paid courses and events. The paid course are optional and not required. We recommend that you focus on your business model and seek the course offerings that fit your business and/or marketing plan.
Can I join the Commercial Kitchen without being a Community Member?
Not at this time. All Commercial Kitchen Members are required to be a Community Member. Since we are new to Prince George’s County, we will use this opportunity to grow our Culinary Artisans through the Community Membership offerings as everyone gets acclimated to our Culinary Hub for the Culture!
